Love the team at RocoMamas Umhlanga, they definitely know how to add a smile to your day! The place I had my first Freak Shake and since then I've been totally hooked!

The service was great and so was the food.

Exactly what you'd expect from this franchise; amazing burgers. Everything from the beef patty to the bun is pure perfection. The service was a tad on the slow side but you could see they were struggling with the influx of the rugby goers just like every other establishment on that road on Saturday was so completely understandable. Our waitress was friendly and tried her best despite the obvious pressure. The vibe at any of their branches is always good with great music and great decor. The Jack Black on tap went down well with the burgers. Very happy with eating here. The best Roccomamas I have been to by far :)

I was on holiday this past weekend and we went to Rocco Mama Gateway Friday night, we had to wait to be seated because it was full but the waiters were friendly, full of smiles and very helpful. 2 highlights for me were the new milkshakes very tasty and not too expensive and the BEST was that they still have the option for a chicken fillet, in JHB they only have that crammed crust burger which is not nice at all! The best Roccomamas I have been to by far :)

Felt like a burger and did not want the typical fast food franchise cardboard tasting variety! Heard a few good reviews and decided to try this new venue in Umhlanga Village. First impressions the place looks very trendy one observation do not expect to sit for a few hours as the chairs and benches are rather hard and uncomfortable. The waitress was great and explained their ordering concept. One gets given a menu and a pen so you fill out your name tick the burger you want tick the extra toppings and the waitress takes it to the kitchen.the menu is burgers and burgers with some ribs ,wings and salad as well. the burgers come in 150 gram,2 by 100 gram and a small 100 gram size all available in Beef,Chicken or Veg. the entry level burger is a very good priced R39 for a 150gram with tomato, red onion and mayo. The fixed menu burgers go all the way to R64 but they offer 21 options to add to the burger or you can build your own, options start at R3 for mayo all the way up to mushrooms at R12. Fries are optional small R15 Medium R25 and large R35. We all had a basic burger but added extras like bacon, guacamole, jalapeno, mushroom and rocket. We shared 2 generous helpings of small string fries. We had 3 chicken and one beef. The beef is the best bet as its a proper minced beef patty and was Delicious. The chicken is really a pulled chicken made into a patty which was very dry and admittedly the waitress did warn us the chicken is not your usual grilled breast served in a bun. So if you only eat chicken make sure you order it with extra sauce as mentioned we had the Guacamole which helped out with the dry chicken. to drink they have beer, wine by the glass and Burbon! Now the menu on the internet offers a large variety of Craft beers local and craft draught. We were disappointed as all they could offer us was one craft beer and a few local beers so this was a bit disappointing as burgers and beer go hand in hand. My daughter had a special Choc freak milk shake @ R50 a bit expensive till you see the presentation a large beer glass oozing with chocolate goodness, Nutella milk shake with chocolate mousse, marshmallows and chocolate ganache topped with whipped cream and served on a board surrounded with a Belgian chocolate sauce and even chocolate sprinkles, malt teasers and two sticks of some type of chocolate log! Will defiantly go back but Ill check by phone on the beer situation before hand and also will stick to the beef burgers. All that said its one up on the other burger joints in the area and good p
